To tell the truth, I no longer remember the specific event that made me aware of Mr. Valtorta's works. I started by ordering one volume to see for myself, and then I found the 10 volumes on Le Bon Coin, and bought them, then read them with great interest.
Through my reading, I found myself in the midst of this group of apostles guided by Jesus, somewhat like the 13th member of this group, following their daily lives, their messages, their everyday life. It was for me an illustrated and living supplement to the Gospels that I already knew. I saw, I understood, I was with Jesus and his apostles, I appreciated the precision and all the details of the message placed in its historical and religious context. An unprecedented and truly instructive journey opening my mind to that of Jesus. The complete reading of these 10 volumes never took me away from what the Church had previously taught me. This reading only corroborated the existing writings, consolidating through its many details my conviction that Christ is the envoy of God and the friend of Men.
I believe that Mr. Valtorta's writings are authentic and sincere, even if sometimes the formulation of ideas and the layout of the text require careful rereading. These writings have strengthened my faith in the Eucharist. They clarified for me the meaning of Jesus' Passion (Volume 10) and made me understand how far divine love could go towards the man that I am. And then everything exudes reality in the reported facts. Everything becomes clear and limpid when reading these works. No confusion or insinuations, ever.
One must familiarize oneself with the style and its formatting. We are not in a novel or in the usual readings recounting the usual biographies. I was reading only one chapter at a time, and this spread over about a year for my complete reading. But each time, I was happy in advance because I knew that I was going to discover who Jesus is among his apostles.

A few years ago, I asked the priest who was preparing us for marriage in a famous Abbey in the South of France about reading the work of Maria Valtorta. Skeptical, he gave me his permission; then I asked the opinion of the Exorcist Priest from my city at the time, he told me "If Padre Pio recommended it..go for it! I myself have read 1/3 of the work, I see nothing that contradicts the dogma!". I discovered Maria Valtorta while watching a video of Sister Emmanuelle Maillard from the Community of Beatitudes!
These books have opened a bridge to the Bible that I had set aside...the more I read, the more I returned to the passages of the Old or New Testament; everything became coherent, clear; it's as if the Holy Spirit gave meaning to the fragments of the Bible that I did not understand...and the more I reread the Volumes, the more I realize that the Bible is a past-present-future book and that the words of Christ still speak to me even if I have read the same words 5 times!!! It's inexhaustible...
The rediscovery and deepening of the Word of God have anchored God in my daily life and prayer and the sacraments have taken a central importance that I try to honor despite my miseries... Aspects of my past life have been illuminated by the words and visions described by Maria Valtorta, I have meditated on them with the Bible and I can say that it is the reading book of my life... The Bible, it's God... This book is God's work for the little ones! You must still have a child's heart, I believe, to accept and understand it. You must be able to believe that Nothing is Impossible for God! That all the books of the Earth will not be enough to tell what Jesus did on Earth as St John says!!!
Try...God speaks to everyone in a different way; maybe it's this way, maybe it's another...listen closely and seek God incessantly.

Internet. Jesus having told us: "Seek and you will find", I searched and found his writings, by what I call divine providence. Seeing that Pope Pius XII authorized the layout, even ending his point of view with "... those who read will understand... ", I undertook the reading to finish it about 18 months later.
Several questions and more detailed information, often during a discussion and explanations given to the apostles, or during a one-on-one discussion with an apostle; how many discussions did He have with Judas! This reading allowed me to better understand a number of points that remained obscure in the reading of the Gospels.
A new awakening to my faith; a greater desire to share it, to arouse the curiosity of research in my brothers and sisters; to the follow-up of celebrations... but I still have a long way to go.
Truth presents itself to you, but... God respects all freedom, and forces no one; He knocks at your door, waits, but will never call the locksmith...

I discovered the work of Marie Valtorta while talking to a person who was part of a team studying these texts. I was delighted to discover these writings that I BELIEVE to be the fruit of the grace that this person received throughout her difficult life. These texts are not "invented": they are true and sincere. It is impossible to have invented these writings! The places, the historical facts recounted are too real! I really enjoy reading the texts of Maria Valtorta, particularly the Gospel as it was revealed to me because I feel like I'm spending a little time with Jesus during my reading.
By spending small moments with Jesus, the description of the environment, the characters, the feelings of one and all, it allowed me to get closer to Jesus and our Holy Apostles whom I now think of more often. I really realize the great Mercy of God and I am touched to the depths of my being. I thus learned that I have a soul and that I have value for Jesus.
Maria Valtorta did not particularly convert me. But I can say that she brought me closer to the Lord and allowed me to understand him better (if this is even possible!...)

We are Anne and Isabelle, both educated in the same religious school with the common characteristic of being two blind people. Our paths are different but it was when our paths of faith came closer that we discovered Maria Valtorta. Anne was looking for information about her patron saint and the childhood of Mary, and one Sunday came across a rerun of a children's adaptation of Maria Valtorta's visions of the hidden life of Mary and Jesus. So we looked for the complete work and found the audio version on "Gathering In His Image."
The first thought that came to us was that indeed we had lived more than half a century without ever hearing about this monumental work and that we had still received the Word of God, but that everything would have been so much easier for us if only, in parallel with the canonical texts, we had been read the particular illumination given by the visions of Maria Valtorta! We also noted that these stories confirm intuitions that were not only ours but also those of great saints like Pope John Paul II. To cite just one example, at the end of his Gospel, John explains that after His Resurrection, the signs given by Jesus would fill an infinite number of volumes on their own. Precisely, the appearance of Jesus to His most holy Mother, which is not reported by any canonical evangelist, has been the subject of such intuitions and we dreamed of being able to read the account somewhere one day, convinced as we were, like Saint John Paul II, that it could not have failed to occur.
While I spent years questioning Catholic dogmas about Mary, Maria Valtorta helped me understand: Mary is our mother as well as that of Jesus, true man and true God. Mary was indeed conceived without inheriting either the original sin of our first parents, or any sin from her own parents. Yes, Mary was indeed the virginal wife of Joseph (and not his "wife"), and the "brothers and sisters" of Jesus are actually cousins, the same word being used to describe these family ties in Semitic languages even today. Mary cooperated more than anyone else in the redemptive work of her Divine Son, which she accepted as such from the first day since having spent years in the Temple of Jerusalem, she could not ignore that the Suffering Servant described notably by Isaiah but also by Psalm 21, was not someone else, as evidenced by this moving scene with Elizabeth seen by Maria! Yes, Mary did indeed pass from her earthly life to eternal life with her soul and her body very much alive, John saw her!
Upon discovering the work of Maria Valtorta, one finds oneself in increased proximity to the canonical texts proposed by the liturgy. Far from opposing, the two approaches complement each other to a point that will surprise you day after day!

Through the "A son image" editions, I had read the book of Marie Valtorta's life that I had ordered and which had fascinated me.
Every Sunday I receive a commentary on the Gospel as it was revealed to me by Maria Valtorta, with her visions, and it better helps me understand the issue of faith among the apostles and the thoughts of Jesus. It enriches me spiritually to know what Jesus was thinking during his earthly life.
It is a direct teaching without frills but put into the context of Jesus's public life.

I felt like I was piecing together the fragments of a chopped-up, overly synthetic Gospel text, with doubts about the coherence of the story. The text and the visions described by Maria are a true revelation of this crucial moment in our humanity, which simply reproduces Jesus' journey on our earth 2000 years ago. Everything becomes visible, the environment, the geographical, political, religious, and human context. Everything becomes understandable, coherent, and real. I am in the process of reading this fascinating work for the second time and I am discovering the true language of Jesus (not reported) and I understand better the content of his message. Essential for every Christian, and to eliminate all residual doubts about the possibilities of such a story that did indeed take place.
I go to mass every Sunday and pray every day. Thanks to MARIA, true messenger of the spirit of God.

I received an anonymous subscription to "Jesus Today" and wanted to learn about Maria Valtorta's work on the internet. I was captivated by the testimony of scientists about the veracity of her visions. And each time, both in consultation (I am a psychiatrist) and in everyday life with Christians from other denominations, I recommend reading Maria Valtorta on the life of Jesus, and particularly on the role of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the history of the Church, through Her numerous apparitions, asking these Christians for their return to the Church of Rome.

I go to mass every Sunday, barring unforeseen circumstances, and taking my communion, and thanks to the Eucharistic miracles that I introduce to my surroundings, I am convinced that beyond the symbol, it is the Body and Blood of Christ that is found in the host. And it is indeed the work of Maria Valtorta that made us discover these miracles.
I would say that reading Maria Valtorta's work could strengthen one's faith, and show how much Jesus and His Mother love us.

Following the study of Jean-Pierre Petit's equations, and his testimony about having testified to being projected at the time of the construction of the Kephren pyramid, a coherent description, I stumbled upon a post about Maria Valtorta being projected to the time of Jesus.
Having "definitively" considered the inconsistencies, contradictions, errors (the mustard seed that becomes a tree!!!) of the New Testament, I completely abandoned Catholicism and became a Buddhist. The reading of Maria Valtorta, despite some errors due to estimates and transcriptions, surprised me with its great coherence and accuracy.
Each reading allows me to know Jesus (and other characters like Mary) better and therefore to love him more and more. Since then, I have been reading the New Testament with pleasure and finding practically no inconsistencies. I have become practicing again.
Let yourself be bathed in realism and Love. Make the book of Jean-François Lavère, Volume 1, The Valtorta Enigma. This encourages reading the Work of Jesus written by Maria Valtorta. Conversions are taking place.
