In 2002, a priest gave my brother, and for my attention, volume 2 of The Gospel as It Was Revealed to Me. My husband and I were then leaving on an expatriation mission to northern Russia. Upon my return to France, in February 2006, when we were settling in Marseille, and I had just placed the book in our library, I read in "Pray in Church": "And what if for this Lent, you read a whole Gospel?". I opened volume 2, and from that moment I realized that it was a sacred reading. It took me 6 years to read 13 volumes. My faith has become a rock of love.
The scenes were becoming real, because coming from the country of the Volga plains, we were hiking in the rocky landscapes of the calanques of Marseille...I remember reading about the retreat imposed by Jesus on his apostles in the caves of the Judean mountain...and that Sunday when my husband and I crossed the karstic relief of Marseilleveyre. The realism of Maria Valtorta's descriptions, the delicate way of describing Jesus' tenderness fundamentally touched me.
My need to express my faith has become imperative. Therefore, I used my Facebook profile (Faith-book) for this purpose. My "spiritual steppe, where my religion was rather intellectual" before 2006 has become, through the reading of the Gospel As It was revealed to me, a source of life, of conviction that Jesus came to save us, despite the fragility of the characters of his apostles. What wonderful discoveries that were followed by graces of pilgrimages in France, Italy, Spain, Israel. My faith has become source and thirst.
I have distributed all the books countless times, as the Work has been imprinted in me... But I will only say what a Pope Pius (...) said about it: "Read and let people form their own opinion". I carry the love that I received in the visions of the life of Jesus and his holy family, like "a wounded bird", due to so many misunderstandings, and particularly from priests, bishops...

During this period of Covid when I had more time to myself, I discovered the site JESUS TODAY... there, I heard about MARIA VALTORTA for the first time... From then on, it was an unparalleled joy to discover more about the Life and Work of JESUS... about MARY and her unparalleled tenderness for her son, but also her youth and this wonderful husband that was St JOSEPH... such endearing facts... I had the 10 volumes, plus the Notebooks given to me for my celebrations and birthdays, my husband was also delighted and read them all as well.
One truly feels that the Gospel we have always known is clearer, more precise, we discover the life and surroundings of JESUS by becoming even more attached to each of the characters. I cannot let a day go by without delving into the so captivating version of JESUS which tells us so much more and which is so sad to see the complications brought about for the general dissemination of his thought... MARIE cried about it...
I have always been a believer and practitioner, but I so wish that many more people were convinced of the importance of these EXTRAORDINARY messages of precision and infinite Love from GOD for each of his children. I pray even more and go to mass during the week. I have understood that the souls in Purgatory need prayers and masses. I read more testimonials and lives of Saints. I thank the Internet for allowing me these readings that uplift me morally.
I would tell people who are hesitant to start with number 1 and then, they will not be able to detach themselves from this fascinating work.

My mother had been subscribed to the Stella Maris magazine since its inception, which I read with interest. That's where I learned about this work. I started with volume 9 which overwhelmed me. I then bought all the others. My mother did too. We talked about it together, sharing our wonder.
The too fragmented passages of the Gospel, poorly contextualized or misinterpreted, find a remarkable clarification with Maria Valtorta. The homilies, as beautiful as they may be, cannot compare to the teachings of Jesus. The explanations on certain points that did not seem clear to me have met all my expectations.
Jesus is both very close there, revealing himself as a living and real person and shining with the glory of the Son of God. The apostles, with their own character, their misunderstandings or their mistakes, encourage us to get up and continue to move forward. Finally, the life of Mary, her countless sufferings, her role as Co-Redemptrix have made me discover her more intimately and increased my love for her. Stronger prayer life, strengthened faith, more conscious participation in the sacraments.
Splendid work. Spiritual adventure, discovery of so many things. Everyone will find what they are looking for. It is difficult to talk about it properly. You must read this work!!

Jesus deeply dazzled and touched me. Such light shines in each of his words, each of his actions. My love for him has been rekindled. I am now convinced (despite what I unfortunately heard in my life) that the Gospel is reliable and true in all respects.
