Through my sister.
She helped me to enter into the very context of each work of Jesus's life.
I realized how much Jesus identified with us in his human condition and this comforts me.
Discovering Jesus necessarily involves the Gospel, and Maria Valtorta's work puts each passage in its context.
Anne-Sophie Vermersch
Through the emails of Jesus today. The explanations on the gospel of the day are clear.
I discovered the depth of God's love through Maria Valtorta!! For every man!!. I did nothing but cry during the reading of these writings...
I have opened my heart to the Lord as I have never done before.
It's a treasure of love, it's my most precious possession. I often hesitate to lend it...

I read excerpts while browsing a volume of The Gospel as Revealed to Me by Maria Valtorta. I then looked for information about Maria Valtorta and when I read that Pope Pius XII advised reading it, I bought the 10 volumes. I read them for the first time over the course of two months. Then I resumed reading the 10 volumes a second time more calmly over about a year, and a third time with the Bible at my side to read the passages to which Jesus referred.
Today, I start each day with the daily readings and I like to additionally read the corresponding passage from the gospel in Maria Valtorta. I feel much closer to Jesus, to Mary. It seems more alive to me.
I think I have a greater respect for priests. I was already involved in my parish and of course I continue. It seems to me that I have gained a greater awareness of the sacred in the liturgy, a better listening to the bereaved for funeral accompaniment. The Eucharist deeply touches me...
I have lent my copies of the Gospel as it was revealed to me to several people. Some are moved, others are not. I think that if one hesitates to read it, one should try without fear. And see...

Through the precision and details about the concrete life of Jesus and his apostles, of the Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph.
I had been baptized and received communion when I was little, but I did not believe in God, even though I perhaps sensed a higher power. I sought the truth in all religions and traditions, and I had even already read the four Gospels without leaving this spirit of disbelief. Specifically, in the space of the two months where I listened to "the work" in my car: deep conversion, return to the church, confessions, desire to align my life with the teachings of Jesus, daily rosary and weekly praises and adoration in a prayer group. I have since discovered a parish where I feel good and am active (Alpha course, Youcat, pilgrimage...). I now share my testimony whenever I have the opportunity, as it can contribute to their conversion.
Simply that he reads it. With all the details he will find, he will journey with Christ through vibrant places that He has traveled. Also, to better understand among other things the mystery of Mary and that of Judas.

After a painful period in my life, although baptized according to the Catholic rite, I opted for evangelical Protestantism, as the faithful seemed to me much more fervent, based on my experience. Then, I told myself that the Mother of God could only be exceptional and I wondered if Mary-Mother had had other children. In doing my personal research, I discovered, thanks to God, The Gospel as it was revealed to me which explains among other things the vows of Joseph and Mary to remain chaste. Thus, Joseph, according to volume 1, was a Nazirite, that is, he wanted to dedicate himself to God and remain chaste.
Deeply moved by the different personalities of all Jesus' contemporaries. We laugh, we cry, we marvel, and we almost feel pity for Judas.
Reading and rereading of the work. Help to meditate on the Rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, as well as that of the Precious Blood. Finally, practice of prayer.
Before judging, at least read the first chapter and you won't be able to leave this fascinating work.

I discovered this work through "Jesus Today" and through the testimony of a friend who is a member of a Franciscan fraternity.
The richness of details, the subtlety of thoughts, the overall realism make me see Jesus with more depth and love.
This work gives me more strength in the daily spiritual battle and brings me closer to God.
This work encompasses the Gospel but does not change it. It highlights details and subtleties and also illuminates some difficult passages of the Gospel texts.
Reading Maria Valtorta brings me happiness and immerses me in the life of Jesus like no other text. Truly, it is a grace from God himself to bring more souls to him.

I believe I discovered the work of Maria Valtorta through videos found on Youtube.
Reading Maria Valtorta revitalized my faith because it gives the feeling of witnessing the scenes, of being closer to the characters, which in my opinion makes the Gospel more alive, more touching.
This has allowed me to regain the motivation to return to mass on a weekly basis, to reconnect with prayer on a daily basis, and to feel closer to Jesus.
I find that it's the perfect reading to complement the Bible.

I discovered the work of Maria Valtorta by chance on the internet. But I believe it was not a mere coincidence, but that God in his great kindness was answering a desire that had been driving me for a long time; that of knowing the hidden life of Christ in Nazareth with the Virgin and Saint Joseph.
She allowed me to understand that Christ was more Human than I had imagined and brought me a little closer to him.
I understood how much Christ loves us and that he wants to remain in friendship with Man until the end.
It is a work of Mercy from Christ who wants us all to him. It would be a shame to miss such an opportunity especially for our time.
François De Longueville
Out of curiosity on the internet.
The first text I read was the resurrection. It was clear, chronological, and luminous. Christ is Alive, it's true, it's real. Thank you Maria Valtorta.
Daily reading of the Gospels and texts of the day followed by the reading of the corresponding text by Maria Valtorta, which gives it an extra life.
Who reads will understand.

During a silent retreat, I confided this sadness to God: "My God, why is it that at the end of the day, I have more appetite to watch a movie than to pray to you?" At the end of the retreat, when it was time to break the silence, a young man told me about Maria Valtorta. I listened politely, and tried the first volume. I prayed over the 10 volumes and the 5 notebook-books of Maria Valtorta for 3 years, I am now on my rifle reading.
The canonical Gospel remains my reference. But to use the movie analogy, this reference is in black and white. Maria Valtorta, it's like a 4KHD Blu-Ray DVD... a concentrated dose of the Holy Spirit. We pray as a family in the evening with the Gospel of the day, but every morning, I nourish myself with the corresponding passage from Maria Valtorta.
The density and vitality of the spiritual nourishment I found in the work allowed me to commit myself to young people (preparation for first communion, high school chaplaincy...) The work has enlightened me on many questions I had. Why doesn't Mary, who received the angel's announcement, immediately share this joy with Joseph? How does Matthew, a publican who devoted his life to money and pleasures, let go of everything on this call from Jesus: "follow me". What is the personality of Judas...
One must try. The work does not speak to everyone, but in my case, and that of many friends, it has been of decisive contribution.
